I see. I released my mod back in 2024 before there were any big managers, i came back and did a huge update recently and I'm just trying to figure out how things are these days, how ppl are playing.
i mean if you think that extra push is worth it, then put in on there
you're not losing anything by having it be avilable from two places instead of one
you just have to make sure that you maintain them properly
the biggest issue with getting mods on mod managers is versions discrepencies
which i suspect won't be a big problem for you since it doesn't sound like you'll be updating it much nowadays

i used the mod manager a bit earlier and it really didn't install shits correctly, so i just gave up and install manually instead
again, it could be that it was just a problem with the early managers

The problems with BMM specifically, are that it worked strangely with what version of smods it was targeting by default, it installed a “compat” addon that caused huge lag, it doesn’t handle dependencies properly at all, and the lead dev is impossible to get in contact with so issues like these take an age to resolve
i just now prefer doing it manually having had to do it manually
because at least now i knows if my shit crashes it's my fault for installing things incorrectly
There are plans and initial work being done on having one that we endorse and support fully from the smods side, that will include auto updating and ingame browsing eventually
and i can identify what i did wrong and fix it easier and faster
