It already DOES reroll what it can, if an entire rarity is either owned, or in shop or banned, anything of that rarity becomes jimbo

cryptid is stuck straddling the line between Big Number balance and Vanilla-esque balance and it needs to pick a side. no matter what it picks, it will result in cuts and aggressive rebalancing, and it's just stagnated because no one wants to lose anything
i actually prefer polterworx over cryptid because polterworx knows what it's doing, it leans full tilt into Big Number balance

Pomegranate Cookie: "Pomegranate Cards" can now be made. Pomegranate Cards give X3 Mult, decreasing by X0.02 each time triggered. is destroyed when mult reaches X1.
Black Pearl Cookie: For each card played, cards have a 1 in 5 chance to be destroyed before they can be played. destroyed card's strength gets converted into XMult, using the same system as Raised Fist.

The letter bump and single letter coloring are done together in one custom DynaTextEffect

Yeah i straight up just defined a function for my mod on the Card object that is an identical copy of Card:start_materialize, minus the juice_up call
I also had to do some funny stuff with starting the dissolve animation without destroying the card so I made another function that does that as well

tldr the way the game checks for suits is Card:is_suit("Suit"), which returns true if the card counts as Suit and false if it doesn't. this allows stuff to modify when cards count as suits
with the rank, it's just Card:get_id(), which returns a number that represents the rank. you can't make that return more than one number at a time

I like the game a lot though so I just keep playing even if I’m not doing anything right. Probably a few people like that.
