I have a joker that gives +1 mult and doubles whenever a hearts is scored. It's decent in most runs, but absolutely disgustingly strong if you have access to retriggers. I think a good rule of thumb is to assume that permanent doubling gets out of hand unless the player tries to not break it, haha

Yeah, for sure. I think the effects too much fun to rework further though, haha. It's definitely one of the easier cards to break, but you do need to really build your run to abuse it. And my balancing approach there is that I suspect setting it up to break your run every time is boring enough that you don't always end up using it. But it's on my permanent watch list as well, and I'm constantly trying to find a fun twist on that effect that is harder to break
