VIP causes the leftmost joker to always trigger at the beginning of scoring, even before played cards are scored. this is to allow additive mult jokers to trigger before Xmult on card trigger jokers (ie. Jimbo adds 4 to the mult before Photograph doubles it when the first face card scores).

Blockbuster will let you manipulate values in any way you like on your own jokers, not just chips and mult. It's just set up to allow you to not have it affect thresholds like loyalty card's 6 hands, as that would make the card worse

As for whether you use Blockbuster or Cryptlib (I'm biased), but Blockbuster compatibility will automatically be Cryptlib compatible. There's a converter built in

Yup, as well as set specific caps for certain values, make it so specific values are integer only, and also change the checks on a per joker basis
