@stable juniper You don't see anywhere else in the game mention "hand type" or "Play" (the latter without "hand" or "card").

Crimson Heart doesn't specify that the Joker is also disabled e.g. while discarding. The Ox only explains its "true" effect in the Collection because in-game it always says a specific Poker Hand name. The Pillar text isn't particularly confusing but you don't have a way to track which individual cards you've played until you're in it.

The Blinds don't say when they show up, since they have restrictions on which Antes they can appear.

Jason is cute though I wouldn't make it Legendary. I advise against Leibniz because even thunk thinks Matador is jank and is going to be reworked. Cosmos had a similar Joker to Eve which I just mention as a balance reference—it applied random Editions to the first hand of played cards, but wasn't Legendary.

You can design as you wish, but personally I prefer when Legendaries change how you play the game instead of just being strong. I'd either downgrade such effects to Rare or add a new Rarity that works similar to the rest but has stronger effects, but it depends a bit on your designs (like some people make niche Legendaries, while yours aren't as niche)
