Yeah, no that's fair. I just felt like it'd be an even more difficult to retrofit system. I'm setting the current one up to have standards that make MoreFluff and Grab Bag compatible, for example, and they're consistent in their variable naming, so I can retrofit it to be near identical to how the manip works in Kino, even if it doesn't match exactly. For that system, though, any existing mod that would want to use it would need to commit to going over and renaming every variable, most likely

Depending on the power, a downside's fine. I think downsides can also make them more interesting to have to play around. Though with Kino's monster cards, I've learnt to accept that any downside will be taken as being like 5 times more detrimental than it is, haha

Oh, yeah, the entire goal of Blockbuster was to only make it opt-in, but to make it so devs don't have to follow either my personal, or vanilla's standards. It should be able to handle whatever naming schemes you use, as long as they're consistent within your mod. They don't have to be consistent with any other mod!

I'm curious how the smods card weight system is going. I've been wanting to set up a version of create card that wouldn't need hardcoded pools, so you can give arbitrary parameters and the create card function would be able to construct a pool based on that
