well if i have some advice start with 1x version because that is the base version as thunk and mod developers use that and then scale twice

if you start with the 2x and need to downscale it will lose detail which you probably wont want that to happen

and detail is intact especially if you scale by the same ratio which is toggled on by default mostly instead of 1 per pixel its 4 per pixel
