Maybe Tricky Joker (you get a hand in the packs) has a target number that just scales with ante, and the pack only dismisses when both the hand is gone and cards have been picked or skipped. So you can enhance and fix cards and have a guarantee that they can help you with that hand

And I think the Discard in pack joker stands on its own pretty well conceptually as deck fixing for your deck fixing

Vscode is code editing software, in this case you'd write all the lua code yourself

JokerForge can be good for making things quickly but it can be limited for more complex ideas
