I would say that that mostly depends on your other Jokers and how much they interact with Stone Cards. If you have many +Chip, +Mult and/or Money Jokers tied with Stone Cards scoring I would say retriggers are better cuz it encourages combos? But again, depends

Yeah, it's still in beta, after all. Though new features get introduced in the dev branch so mods can prepare before hand, and it's also recommended you mention the version of smods your mod is developed for, specifically for those compatibility reasons

That's been my approach, makes it so my own system never gets used on jokers I didn't plan for

but also, indiscriminate value manip is always gonna cause issues when played with other mods, that's just the situation. If you only check if something's a number value, you're going to run into situations where your manip breaks something

I mean, I'm not saying don't do it, I'm more so saying you either accept crossmod crashes and bugs will be more likely, or you set up a system with hardcoded guardrails

Idk the details of it because my own value manipulation is fenced off to such a degree that it only works on my own jokers, but I think just x2ing every number value will cause the same issue that Cryptid had with xmult spontaneously appearing on jokers 🤔 Though I might be confusing that with a bug that was caused by their scaling system

But also, Cryptid crossmod is specifically bad to set up because Cryptid's old enough to have a lot of systems work in strange ways, and a lot of its undocumented, never-understood spaghetti code had to be rewritten by Ruby recently so Cryptid didn't die from technical debt. But its systems only recently started being opened up for easier crossmod
