I'm checking some older posts, because I know this issue does happen to other people, but I don't remember the exact reason for it! But the fact that you're getting a lovely console, and are able to see the logs seems to indicate to me that you installed lovely correctly. The other potential issue might be that your windows protector is removing lovely whenever the game launches. Could that be happening?

I think the truth might be weirder, honestly. Minecraft is one of the weirdest games out there, due to how much structural knowledge average players actually have about the game. Half of the game's late-game mechanics are just canonized exploits, which makes it so that interacting with bugs in a way that players won't notice besides it being fixed can be super overwhelming

The game's aware of players making farms as endgame resource gatherers, but those are only accidentally part of the game. And that kinda happens with a lot of its mechanics and new content

My hot take is that Minecraft's biggest flaw is its focus on exploration for basically every content update over the last few years. There's so much stuff to explore, but it means you really need to find your own fun to interact with the base-building and block placing mechanics. Most ways to comfortably travel through your world are either super high effort to set up, fully end-game mechanics, or canonized exploits. The idea of building a base kinda sucks when you might need to travel insane distances just to find a specific biome or natural structure

Yeah, for sure. I don't think they're the way to go for vanilla. I just think a good thing to add to the game would be the ability to find stuff while you explore that you'd wanna build some house or structure for at your base, whatever that could be. And for travel to be a bit easier in some ways. I never released it because it was very buggy, but the last time I played a modpack, I'd added a little mod I made that would let you plant a tree that grew ender apples, which would teleport you back to the tree when you ate them, and it made exploring so much more fun

the main issue with building structures in minecraft to me is that

important structures are so far spread out that its basically never worth it

I really, really dislike the concept of nether highways, as far as 'intended' game mechanics goes.
