It's more complicated than that. The vanilla game is very carefully balanced to have lots of interesting strategies that get properly rewarded. When you introduce an effect like "multiplies your mult by 3838 to the power of the required score" strategy is no longer required.

basically it takes the score of the card and its associated enhancement and edition and applies it to the poker hand permanently. if you score an ace, you add 11 chips to the base score. if it's a Mult card, +4 Mult, or holo gives +10 respectively. Polychrome multiplies whatever the base mult for the hand is at that time by 1.5, so on and so forth
