My plan atm is to just make the API mods be provided by the main mod, and basically have mainline Kino have each as just a library that's immediately installed, which would auto disable itself if you have the library mod installed.
That way the install would never be an issue of having to download 10 mods.

Honestly, pretty weak! If disabling works like debuffing, it's a major downside, and very difficult to play around long term. The mult offset is very limited for that downside

I have an archetype of jokers in my mod that works on permanently debuffing cards in your deck and it's a difficult balance. To the point that I'm probably transitioning a lot of them to use the Debuff Counters I added in the pre release so it has a timer, instead of being permanent

potentially +5 mult per hand is a pretty big buff, especially when you only need the chips from cards in the early game (typically) and theyre debuffed after being scored so it doesnt even hurt the early game that much

it might be a bit weak? it'd take 3 5-card hands to get to gros michel's mult. maybe +2 or 3 and make it a cheap uncommon. its a pretty big downside to not be able to use enhancements, editions, seals, or even the rank/suit itself for joker synergies

editions arent really a problem because theyre so rare, enhancements definitely would be an issue but it scales incredibly quick so the drawback seems reasonable

I suspect it might be too weak to get any notable mult build up, but I'm definitely up to accept I'm underestimating the power. My Alien jokers and planets work around debuffing, and they need you to go pretty all in on card agnostic builds, and they're often pretty good at biting you in the ass on stakes above white, because they seem less punishing them they are

i have a joker that works vaguely similarly (debuffs a random card permanently when blind is selected, gains mult for scoring debuffed cards) and i found it has to pack quite a bit of a punch to be worth using

• depending on how hard it is to debuff cards in your mod, "It is forbidden to dog" seems like it would be pretty strong.
• Eat pant is incredibly overtuned. you can just use this joker to cut 4+ cards a hand, ignoring the scoring. the scoring is just the cherry on top.
• Tsunagite is just... i dont even know where to start.
• Kyoufuu All Back seems underwhelming, but its a common so
• Gaslighting seems way too win-more. Scaling xMult that doesnt reset if your score catches fire, especially one scaling that fast (+0.5x per hand played), is far too strong.
  making it so that it's the opposite might actually be better? (resets if the score catches fire) because then if the joker gets too high youre more likely to reset it, rather than the other way round.
• Centrifuge should be uncommon at least, its rank-fixing per hand which is very strong. I would maybe make it only work once per round as well, its basically a reuseable strength after all.
• Ash Joker should be more chips, or be scaling? (starts at +35 then +15 for every round this has survived maybe)
• Tetoris seems a bit overtuned being +chips and xchips, though im not sure how I would nerf it; maybe adding a downside like "if hand does not contain a scoring L, S, O, Z, J, I or T then this card self destructs"
• Shimmer; just make sure it so that it can't exceed Joker Slots (must have room), but thats if it doesnt already
• Turret should only appear on Black Stake+ I think
  -Liar Dancer seems very overtuned; even just being 1 level would be very good. it does not need to be +3 levels 😭
• Pandora Paradox should be uncommon, incremental and also easier; something like 'Create a Standard Tag for every 5 cards added to the deck, currently at [x]'
• Story of Undertale seems like "take this, lose a joker, and now you have a negative Mr Bones for the rest of the game". would honestly be fine to just make it "When blind is selected, destroy a random Joker and create a negative Mr.Bones; Self-destructs"

• You Tried is OP too, and kinda boring. getting reset to a1 without any of your jokers seems like it wouldn't be that enjoyable of an experience, even if youre definitely going to win (still have planet levels, card modifiers, etc)
• Don/Katsu-chan are plasma-lite which is probably very strong, if you stack xmult and then have katsu-chan, youre partially balancing the score.
  maybe make katsu-chan only work left-most and don-chan only work right-most
• Lagtrain is just too funky for me to consider rebalancing it
• Kita Ikuyo costs $9 and is Rare for a heart flush specific tarot gen that only makes one lovers a hand 😭 make it common and/or $4 please, I beg of you.
• Yamada Ryou is a $9 & Rare credit card basically. Make it common and make it cost like $2...
