It also only just calls another batch_load function I wrote which only does 1 folder at a time

Ah, like Balatro Mod Manager, but as a standalone, drop-in mod? Could be useful if a user can choose between stable or latest releases, or pick a specific version of each mod and avoid updates or alerts for it. Not sure if auto-updating would be possible, but that would be nice. It would occupy the same space as Balatro Mod Manager, but without the GUI overhead and without the ability to search for mods in its catalog.

New here, so if I'm posting where I shouldn't -- or asking questions that have been answered in an FAQ I haven't found yet -- I'm sorry.

Having trouble getting mods to work on my desktop. Downloaded lovely, put version.dll in the Balatro folder (from Browse Local Files option), downloaded smods, put smods in the %AppData%/Balatro/Mods folder. Everything was downloaded with Defender disabled and version.dll in the whitelist.

If I run Balatro with only Lovely in the Mods folder, everything's fine.
If I run Balatro with anything but smods in the Mods folder, Balatro opens to tell me there's an error, which is what I would expect, but at least the game still opens.
If I run Balatro with smods in the Mods folder, Balatro just does nothing. Black screen. "(Not Responding)".

Any insight would be appreciated.
