But I tend to personally find the spaces that Extra Credit try to explore a bit less interesting than Prism or Bakery. Very aware that's just preference, though

In Kino, basically every chance-based downside I've added is one that increases its risk over time, because there's often not a super interesting chance you can pick that doesn't create feel-bad moments

chance in a game like balatro is a lot more satisfying when it's benefitting the player. Even if you end up statistically winning, +2 mult guaranteed is often more satisfying than 1/2 chance for +3 mult, even if over 5 cards, the second option is better

got a deranged idea for a joker and I'm not sure it's actually interesting
I'd like to hear the opinion of experienced players on it
(it's also probably hell to code, but before looking into that, it's worth knowing if it holds any water as a concept)

1/3 chance to place a copy of each card as well

I think it creates interesting choices of what to play when, and gives you some control over RNG, allows you to setup good hands and all
but I'm not sure how useful it actually is. Like, it is some control, but for a really high price, so much so that it might not be worth anything at all.
the chance to copy is an attempt at making it a bit more worthwile, but I don't like it a lot
