yeah, and within balatro context it's generally more vague as well. For example, creature type synergies in mtg can be parasitic just depending on whether they're common creature types. 'Humans have +1/+1' isn't, but 'Slivers have +1/+1' is, just because humans is a default concept, and slivers isn't. But balatro, even in its mods, don't really tend to have much of that. The biggest examples I can think of are JoyousSpring, just due to it being yugioh archetypes, and the M jokers in Cryptid
