The idea is that Steamodded is now doing regular releases, as long as Aure and the team keep on top of it. Beta is aiming to be more stable.

For the regular player who just wants to install mods once and play them, the version of Steamodded being "weeks out of date" compared to the latest cutting edge dev build doesn't matter. What does matter to a player is when ExtraCredit targets dev build 0404a, Cryptid targets the (bugged) 0315b, Bunco targets 0328a, and suddenly they find themselves dealing with overlapping Lovely patches failing and broken incompatible mods, because they didn't happen to download Steamodded on the right hour of the right day.

If devs would exercise a bit of patience and target common stable versions, compatibility becomes significantly simpler. I'm really surprised that this requires explanation at all.

that little code snippet is literally all code that interacts with drawstep in my entire project, atm. It automatically applies. There's some documentation on the wiki for it. The main thing I've figured out is that I need to set the shader to dissolve so the element dissolves together with the card, and to set the role.draw_major to card.

The logic is that by complimenting someone’s confidence instead of complimenting them or their work, it creates an implication where you didn’t do it because you don’t think it’s worth complimenting. It’s cemented by making it a compliment about “confidence”, where it creates an interpretation such as “You’re so confident for doing X even though you’re so bad at it”

I'm quite a fan of this design, but no clue whether it's balanced. But I've got the opposite of this planned as a boss blind, basically, so I'm probably biased, haha. I think messing with ranks is a very interesting design avenue for mods
