hey so i just finished following the first video in the starter pack, and whenever i boot the game i don't see the mods tab anywhere in game

I made the folder in %appdata%/Balatro/ and have both smods-main and lovely in there

disabled that and it’s not crashing now

and version.dll is in the local files for balatro

1. Make sure you put Lovely (version.dll) in the same directory as the Balatro.exe
2. Make sure your Steamodded folder isn't nested and delete any "-main"

My current Frankenstein concept sets a part of its ability based on the suit of the card you destroy (or picks at random if you destroy a non-base game suit or suitless cars.) I think if I'd have to set it up for something selectable, I would probably make it so that buttons appear below the joker to go through a list if the joker's selected 🤔 but if you have a lot of options, that'd suck

I'd tie them to the default poker hands, and make it so their use effect perhaps scales for each time you've played that hand, in some way, while their money effect triggers only when you play that hand

I think either the number of interesting synergies, or the uniqueness are good factors. Uniqueness does beg for complexity, I find, so other options to make things interesting is just a joker that's got a small effect but is versatile

the most broken non-legendary joker in my mod destroys every card scored and scales better if 5 cards are destroyed at once. one of the better joker gimmicks in my mod imo
