Lovely isn't a mod, it's the mod loader. You don't have to put anything from Lovely into the Mods folder, the only installation step required is to copy version.dll into the game files

Anything is admittedly an exxaggeration, I kept out anything game breaking. originally I wanted a slight chance of it just automatically winning the ante when a wild card is scored, or having it have a chance of crashing the game, but since ideal play with this joker would involve scoring your wilds many times, I decided to keep it relatively vanilla to not ruin the experience

While i'm surprised by how easy it is within .NET, I still have no idea how you'd implement this into a Balatro mod, as you'd have to find a way to access the Windows Runtime API through Lua. Possibly through a COM object? As far as I can tell, you'd be the first person to do it for Lua, and you'd be insane to try it for a feature as (relatively) trivial as muting game audio

It's also important to make sure that when you unzip the mods, that they're not being nested within multiple layers of folders.
Each mod should be installed in its own folder within the Mods folder.

If it only contains one single folder, then you've nested it by mistake and will need to move that folder up a level

Best way to avoid this is to open up the .zip of the mod you've downloaded first, and if it only contains one folder, then just drag that folder into Mods to extract it.
