I've delved into this a bit.
BMM's code is public and you can read it to check. I can vouch for all of it up to 2025-03-31.

The BMM version 0.2.4 installer currently throws 2 false positive detections, both by AI-based heuristics (Bkav Pro and CrowdStrike Falcon, both responsible for a fair few false positives in general).

The BMM version 0.2.2 installer was also flagged by Kaspersky, but was checked and cleared as a false positive (#1339375696254074942 message)

The BMM version 0.2.4 executable is clean, and any AV warnings or detections stem from the fact that BMM installs Lovely (which is a trojan by most definitions, just one that's injecting "good" code instead of "bad")

And if you don't trust the Installer, but you do trust the code, you can build it yourself in about 30 minutes:

Also, Victin, I'm running into some design issues for this cardset mod, and how to let people make cardsets. The functionality is all just getting a list of keys and passing them to the banned_keys variable before the run starts, and that all works. But the way I'm setting that up currently is by having the set creator just paste keys into a lua file that returns that list. Ideally, I'd want non-tech adept users just have them create a set in game, but I'm not sure what UI approach I'd take for that. How would you go about that, if you have any ideas?
