at the last phase, the required score actually becomes so incredibly high you cant win, forcing you to play your hands until its 0
BUT
the clash starts playing, with you spamming a button for the Current Score to increase as it decreases overtime

well last i tried modding everything broke
since that poll I have already moved from separating jokers by rarity to giving each joker its own file (but still having folders for each rarity)
you'll need to install lovely and steamodded from the guide that 70 people are going to post

mainly that you don't have everything in main.lua

I've been banging my head against this bug for a while, but I have some consumables that create a +1 discard/hand/hand-size tag on use. If you buy them in the shop or spawn them in, it's entirely fine, but if you buy them in a pack, they make it so you can't click on (or use) any buttons once you leave the shop

let me tell you that porting steamodded to the official mobile releases would be impractical. you probably wouldn't get a lot of mods working without more changes and no mod dev is willing to develop for two separate versions of the game

often the offending mod will be featured in the stack trace, but it's not always that easy. i was just able to tell what this one was because it's a well-known issue

Hey yall, sorry if this is been asked before and I just cant find it. But is there a reason cards go "blank" after using a tarot card on them?
all the music is roughly the same, there's several tracks that are all on the same "beat" (im not too good with music so i don't know the exact terminology), in terms of code there is a "priority" associated with the music playing, where whichever is highest priority is played. they're all kept in sync since when one track is swapped out for another, it plays at the same point the first stopped (again, they're the same song layered differently)
so as an example the main music is always assumed to be playing and has the lowest priority
if you go into, say, a celestial pack, then the planet pack music is considered to be able to be played and it will play because at that point it will be high priority
and the music loops, when one song transitions into another afaik it's just fade that's generated at runtime
all the music have the same bpm and length, when the music changes, both tracks fade to make a transition at the exact time
i think thats what ultrakill does with their bgm too actually

In case someone has seen it before, my issue is that the mod manager simply doesn't look up any mods. There are zero mods in the "all mods" page for example. I've tried deleting any local info I can find & reinstalling but to no avail.

Given that this game works on Lua, with files you can directly look into (on Steam Deck), how challenging is it to learn how to make a mod FROM SCRATCH by just looking at the code for Jokers, cards, consumables, etc. that are in the game?
Assume that I have the tools at my disposal to make whatever graphical assets I need to make and/or edit existing assets.
Would that not be a sprite issue? Like, putting that in the sprite sheet when you make the Joker art?

for reference the reason I'm saying that vanilla game code isn't a good resource is that the code for a single card/joker/whatever is all over the place in different kinds of functions and certain things are done differently in modded as opposed to vanilla on top of being structured differently
If you were wanting to add a couple jokers only for your own benefit as a learning exercise, it's fine, but it's not the easiest way to do it. If you ever wanted to release a Joker mod, definitely use the Steamodded bindings

I'd say just follow the steamodded guide
finishing up your vanilla stuff is up to you, but if you add mods I definitely suggest a new save and backing up your vanilla one (some mods have corrupted save files before)

This was a brief issue with that specific version of Steamodded. Should be fixed if you update to the latest version (1424a) from here: https://github.com/Steamodded/smods/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

If it means anything, Bunco was causing problems before, so I had updated steamodded and lovely to try to see if it would solve the problems with Bunco
This might be a conflict between Bunco and Paperback, try removing one or both of those
I suspect Bunco is the culprit, Dimserene has removed it from his modpacks which is usually a sign of a problem
