Can anyone tell me where or under what circumstances the _alt logo is used?
fellas, im modding the game atm, ive got talisman and cryptid and im prolly gonna get deck sleeve too, but i wanted to know if there were any other mods compatible with these bad boys?

you can try the refactor branch of cryptid (potentially unstable as it's still in-dev) or revert steamodded to old calc

What's the mod for instantly calculating a hand when played?

Hello all, I've been using the cryptid mod along side a few others and I've notice an issue. My saturn mod doesn't seem to be working entirely. I have animation disabled but it's only disabling the played card animations and not the joker trigger jiggle. So.... my current hand (that's been scoring for about 30 minutes) takes much longer than it should because of all the joker retriggers I have going.

only thing to add is that you'll have to go through users - your name - library - application support - balatro, to find the mods folder, with hidden files visible

I was wondering what was causing this weird bug to happen, since I just recently started modding balatro. I only got a skin mod for the cards, but now for some reason gold cards are triggering twice at the end of the round without any retriggers? I've also noticed that the driver's license joker doesn't work, any idea on what may cause this?
try updating steamodded to the most recent version and see if you still have the issue

how recent is the old/new calc thing in steammodded. using old calc with the most recentversions of vanilla mods and it has crashed more times then i can count. should i be using the main version or is stuff just gonna be weird for a while?
a lot of mods have switched to / are compatible with new calc now, and most others have updates in progress. you may want to switch to latest and try experimental versions for mods that still use old calc but have an update in progress

Looks like pokermon still uses old-calc as far as I can tell. Saturn and brainstorm don't use steamodded's stuff at all afaik so they should be fine regardless

Nothing at all. I just dragged it into my mods folder. When it didn’t work, I did 2 things, I assumed it was my steamodded and checked the version, and went to discord 😅

used to be a lot more on the mod developer, now steamodded handles a lot of it

But that's exactly the reason why modders should list their dependency versions. If devs just stated which version of Lovely and Steammodded their patches are based on, the amount of people posting crash logs would be cut in half at least

Hey, I disabled all my mods (cryptid, morespeed and talisman) and the game crashed, and now the game won't run. I've tried verifying integrity of game files, and moving all mods out, and keeping smod and lovely in. Anyone know how to get my game to run again? I'm worried my save is bricked

talisman is silly and saves bignumbers sometimes (which vanilla can't read)
you have to reinstall talisman and something like debugplus and arbitrarily set whatever in your save is a big number back to a normal number
to figure out what that is you have to manually decompress and dump the savefile and then either modify that directly and recompress it or just change the value ingame
(with debugplus)

How do I use double sided jokers in Cryptid? There's a flip option, and it says I can merge the blank side with another joker (which I'm understanding as fusing a joker onto each side so it basically saves a slot and I can flip it whenever I want either effect), how do I actually perform the merge?
Hello, i was trying to mod the game to play the pokemon mod but i cant figure out how to mod it. I apologize but im a lil slow on those kind o things
- Install lovely and Steamodded
- Extract lovely to the folder that has Balatro.exe on it
- Win + R, enter %AppData% and search for Balatro, that's your save file, create a new folder named "Mods" and drop Steamodded content inside of it
now, the tricky part is that, usually every mod only supports specific lovely/steamodded
that's not at all usually
it's currently more frequent because we had breaking changes in Steamodded recently
for lovely every mod normally supports the latest version
