once the gameset system gets developed, playing without unlock all in mainline (the one designed around having an unlock system...) is going to be fun

Another fun one, another proof of SCPs not being "Kill buckets"

1033 is a white balding middle aged man, in a suit and with a briefcase.
He once just appeared once in the middle of New York.
The man is stuck in a 33s loop, and any attempts of interaction don't do anything, he will also push along or thru any obstacle in his way
The loop consists of:
Walks 4 steps, kneels down and opens the briefcase, pulls out a phone and an envelope, opens and reads the envelope, texts a message to an unassigned Australian phone number, looks over the horizon for few seconds (regardless of what's in from of him), smiles and chuckles. Gets blasted 3 meters back, and disintegrates as if he was blown up by a (1.5 megaton) nuke. Reappears about a second after being fully destroyed and repeats the loop.
All while enjoying deadly doses of radiation.
The guy is basically a walking replay of the nuclear codes being used
Very fun, very odd and cool

You can use DeckSkins
I wanted to be able to alternate between two styles , without having to make another skins for the same "characters" - just like in the previous modding method.
The DeckSkin has an option to configure low and high contrast textures without needing to select another option

With the cards from Cryptid, if I play a flush five, I can potentially get a x2160 mult if I have all of the right cards
if anyone come across this, changing the self.base.nominal of the jacks , queens and kings other than 10. causes this error (card.lua)

For the card image replacer mods, is it the same process? just drag and drop mod folder into Mods folder in appdata?
Not sure, HPV. Been having trouble trying to get any texture mods to work, myself. Putting the mods in the mods folder either fails to take effect, or results in a crash log at startup.
I've tried other mods that are meant to help with managing texture packs, but... Malverk causes crash log at Options, and DeckSkinsLite causes crash log at startup. I've reinstalled Lovely and Steamodded a couple times, to no avail.
I'm sure there's something I'm missing.

Reverie and CodexArcanum are having issues rendering their cards, and DX-Tarots simply crashes on startup.
so you'll need to get the 1.0 versions of them, I'm pretty sure most of them sould have been ported
I was able to redownload each of them at their latest version, making sure to check if they mention being updated for 1.0.

The Love: All hands start at 15 Chips
The Duality: All cards of odd ranks are debuffed
The Symmetry: All cards of even ranks are debuffed
The Feast: -2 Chips per $1 you have
The Flow: All hands start at 3 Mult
The Famine: -1 Mult per $4 you have
The Purity: All negative jokers are debuffed (only appears if you own a negative joker)
The Vibrance: All polychrome jokers are debuffed (only appears if you own a polychrome joker)

I think the Destitute is a weak Blind on its own.
Otherwise, maybe Vibrance could hit playing cards with Editions to distinguish it from the Purity more

Destitute was designed specifically to screw over perkeo builds (hence why i plan to make it only if you own a consumable) because i find perkeo to be undoubtedly the best joker in the game imo, and my plan was to have a variant of the Purity for every edition (and then one blind that debuffs all cards with enhancements)

I think hitting each Edition separately is too much, especially because not all Editions are equally useful. I'd do either all or Negative and Polychrome
Perkeo is good, but a Boss to counter a single Joker is too much
it also counters some things like fortune teller + tarot spam
It will present negligible challenge in 99% of situations and sometimes screw over Perkeo players
maybe one for negative, polychrome, and then foil + holo?
what if it randomly selects a enhanced joker every hand? so if you have more then one, its more of a threat
i dunno, maybe my playstyle is just really consumable + blind skip heavy compared to the normal person but i find that Destitute would be a threat in like 30% of my runs

It's not that I don't use Consumeables, but they don't usually stick around for long. Even if they did, since you can see this coming it's never a big threat because rarely the Consumeables are that important that you'd lose if you're not able to hold onto them. You can even go into the Blind to try and fish one last time for the card you want to hit, and sell the Consumeables if you fail.

Me too, but the overlap of both "I'm holding onto it" and "The Destitute counters me" is very small, especially because even in that overlap you're not suffering a big hit from the effect

I don't think it's a bad idea, and I don't think anyone will mind playing against Foil + Holo debuff. But from a gameplay perspective, if your mod has Negative + Poly debuff and not the other, players might feel encouraged to go for Foil + Holo instead, which is very minor since you're not guaranteed to fight the Boss anyways
a couple ideas just flew into my head, wanna get opinions since they seem.. very easily to be either useless or OP 😭 :
- Foundry: When a stone card is played, have a 1/4(?) chance to turn it into a steel card
- Ruby laser: Retriggers the leftmost joker 2 times, with a 1/3 chance to destroy it at the end of round
- Sapphire laser: Retriggers the rightmost joker 3 times, with a 1/2 chance to destroy it at the end of round

i dunno, makes me think of like... adrenaline-type drugs personally, the laser cards' effects

The Spin is just silly. It probably doesn't do much except leave you in doubt about what's in your deck.
The Loop doesn't give you extra hands or discards or refreshes the deck, so in theory it's not as free scaling as it seems.

Well, smaller decks tend to be preferable for consistency. Iif you have a specific type of synergy, like Suit-based synergy, the Stone cards can get in the way of drawing the cards you want.
I also think it's fun if the effect is situationally positive
