Hihi! Looking to do some card texture mods for a friend of mine, is there a specific place or thing to read to get started? I'm eager to do so.
My stone cards are acting as if they have different ranks, turning what should be a High Card into other hands. Is this a known issue with any particular mod? Bunco, Paperback, Familiar, KCVanilla, Codex Arcanum, some other small mod that I'm using?
Further evidence that it's reading stone cards as ranked cards: I'm on a boss that debuffs Queens (The Tine from Bunco), and it's debuffing one of my stone cards

Unsure if anyone has it, but is there a way to get Fusion Jokers and Reverie to work together on the Steammodded Alpha? I noticed that the Reverie mod's 'Radioactive' exchange coupon isn't progressing when i fuse two jokers.

Is there a possible fix for the lag/freezing that occurs when there are a lot of jokers and retriggers in play (as in, 100 and above) other than "Don't play negative deck"? From what I found with searching, it's a memory overflow issue...

damn, with so much cards i thought your fps will be less than 10
the idea is that the scoring pauses itself to allow the game to run a frame 20 times a second
otherwise it just freezes while it calculates
this decreases the rate at which scoring can happen by a small amount (single digit percentage i imagine, depends on how good your computer is)

Hello! I am from the vivid/stasis(rhythm game), community, and several of the community members have come up with card ideas. This is built to exist exclusively inside of the main game, and I was wondering if any of the cards are too overpowered in the context of the game, or needed a rerating

You can also subtract cost from the reroll, like how reroll glut does it. I'd say just $1 for a 4 cost reroll upon opening the shop is fine for a common joker.
consider that plasma is x2 blind size (and thats potentially ^2 score!, but mostly endless)

Discards synergize with anything that's not high card by just making your luck incredibly consistent.
There's also jacks and some discard synergy in the base game, it's fine.

Obama is severely underpowered for 4x blind size. It's kind of fine as an obvious joke card, though.
Rocking Horse feels very similar to raised fist, but, I think it is different enough.

It's kind of like a less adaptable blueprint, which, is the top tier of rare to be fair, but still in rare.
Tori is tiny, I think it could be bumped up somewhere around $3-5. The biggest thing is that if you get it, 9/10 times, you would've preferred just getting perkeo and finding hermits/temperances. Unless it does something interesting based on money, it'd just be an inferior economy joker.

Anyone know why my game gets laggier and laggier as i play? the lag goes away when i play a hand then comes back afterwards (same severity) and playing with a controller makes the lag progress much slower.

i added some mods, but apparently the last mod i added doesn't work with my version of Steammodded
the last mod i added was joker display
i had been launching the game inbetween adding mods, to make sure it runs...
i added joker display, and ran the game one more time, and it worked. then i closed the game, so i could go and close other windows and programs, and when i re-launched Balatro, NONE of my mods worked?
it no longer said the steammodded version in the corner of the main menu
did windows defender, idk swipe version.dll?
i turned off Defender while grabbing these files, cause it kept flagging them as dangerous
do you still have steammodded in the mods folder?
defender will turn itself on again after some time
i turned it back on manually after grabbing all my files
i deleted the older version of steammodded
before i ask how to do that
also you can make exeptions somewhere in defender to stop killing version.dll
i did not do the same steps installing the more recent version of steammodded, that i had done when i did the older version
the old steammodded had me run some program called PS injector or something
and the new steammodded, i just extracted the zip folder into the mod folder
Defender did say that it blocked version.dll
how do i add an exception?
settings > exclusions
i went to protection history, where it said it blocked version.dlll and then i told it to restore version.dll will that be a permanent fix or should i go to settings > exclusions?
it worked, it loaded the mods
i don't know why it suddenly blocked them right as i was done modding

Try to make sure your lovely mods don't have -main on them. Just delete any -main on the folders if you aren't sure which ones.
After playing for an hour, this did infact fix the issue but temporarily. it still get slower over time but the time it takes for it to get slow is longer.

What do I need to use mods? I keep opening Balatro, and I don't even see the MODS button.
I assume this is because you're missing lovely injector, which goes into the Balatro directory. Don't remember if dimserene's modpack says anything about antivirus, but if you installed lovely injector, your antivirus might've taken it.

If you found the github page for a mod, there's 2 methods of downloading:
- Release version (usually the most stable, but might be outdated) in red
- Direct download (code > download zip) in blue
And make sure you've installed a modloader like steamodded to actually load your mods

for balacord cards, i tried to put the whole folder into my mods folder, that broke my game, and then i took just the lua folder out and put it in my mods folder, that also broke my game...

Just for the sake of knowledge, x is used in place of a variable number, so it's basically saying any version that has a 1 at the start of the version number, doesn't matter if it's 1.0.2 or 1.27,24. But something like 0.9.8 wouldn't fit.

I have steammod dll injected, Cryptid, and lovely installed but i get this every time i try to run it. It is lovely beta5 because none of the other files will open for me. not sure what to do, im pretty sure this error is from the lovely card.lua
