I asked in the bug report channel but it said that i should ask here so, So my game is crashing, a few hours ago it worked without any problems. Now about 4 hours later the game crashed. I have checked my files for errors and a faulty file was found which has been corrected. I then deleted the game and reinstalled it. None of this helped and it still crashes. I modded my game via steammodded but deleted it again.
Any ideas what else it could be or something like that?

Hi, I just joined. I'm currently running a modded run (mika's mod collection) where I'm reaching the score limit soon (over e270 right now), and I have over 1400 cards on the field, slowing my game down significantly. Calculation takes over 10 minutes. Two questions:
1: Is there a mod that speeds up score calculation for huge fields like this?
2: Can I load this mod without breaking the run save file?

if you rename the exe, the files will be stored at that renamed location, so you could rename your lovely file and the game exe to also switch saves at the same time
(at least, I think renaming the exe does that - either that or renaming the game folder)

Hi, guys. I've held back with modding Balatro. Can someone answer a couple of my question wrt Steamodded?
- Is there a way to have a profile with mods enabled, and one with mods disabled?
- If not, and I just have to disable everything and change profiles manually, does this screw with the save files? Will they word with an unmodded balatro?
- If not, is there any kind of fix?
you can play on an alt file, and before swapping to your main disabling mods
No mods have to be loaded when the game is launched and can't be enabled or disabled on the fly. You can switch between vanilla and modded just fine with the same saves.
Also you can rename or move the version.dll to disable mods completely quickly
So, just play with mods on one profile, and play vanilla on another profile, and it should be OK?
Yeah
A modded save could crash when clicking the play button, but you can manually remove the save, and if your using different profiles that shouldn't be an issue

Yo, is there a mod that lets you turn the steam version into the mobile one (e.g. use a touchscreen on the steam release) for use with like Box64Droid? I dont want to lose my progress from my steam save file when I move over to mobile as well
Fortune Teller is one of those ones that doesn’t work
Because it’s +1 mult per tarot card used this run, and not Gains +1 mult when a tarot card is used

There's two reasons that doesn't work AFAIK
First, I don't think the game saves a card inside extra properly
Second, the game recreates every card on load
So even if it did save correctly, it would be a different card

not if handled properly, the larger issue is that you don't get a Card instance back because functions aren't serializable
@sturdy canyon I know other people have tried to handle the same issue. One possible solution is to give one or both cards a "password" and then have one or the other iterate overall cards to find the one with the password on load

what if it took the enhancements of other cards played and applied all of them to one card?
like if you played 5 lucky cards, one card will become a lucky card that retriggers 4 times, and the other cards all become base cards

Hi i'm on Linux (Mint) and trying to play with mods on WINE. I've got it working, however no mods will actually load
(Using Steammodded)
This is the Launch Option i have in steam WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version=n,b" ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Balatro/version.dll
Balatro loads just fine, just no Mods.
I've attached a pic of my Mods folder, just in case
I don't think i've done anything wrong in terms of files (it's setup the exact same way as it would be in Windows, just in a WINE thingy)
why aren't you using the normal proton prefix?

Well i had WINE already and use it for other things, and i couldn't really be bothered getting Proton ( i guess im just lazy)

They are more in line of vanilla decks imo
Ceres has soul deck, which is a bit more powerful. starts you off with a random eternal legendary
but yeah I mostly play vannilia------ish balance so I'm not familiar with cryptid style stuff
