Yeah it's what I thought, thankfully I had the thought of saving a profile with 99% gold stickers, so just need a couple more X).
Cause now my game crashes if I deactivate the mods
usually it's fine to go back to vanilla if your last selected deck/stake weren't modded, but Talisman is fairly invasive to your profile

Yea, right now the only thing that rewards you for overscoring is the ability to watch the blind burn
On the other hand, it's not like you need that boost if you overscore
Though a coinflip save like in Peggle would've been helpful in some situations, maybe make a joker or a deck that does that once

Well many people don't have enough hands/discards to dig to the bottom of their deck. Besides that I'm not sure what would make it so evil
that part. that most people simply cannot.
It has no scoring requirement, there's a gimmick you need to take advantage of to beat the blind, which is listed there
Im trying a design philosophy where instead of purely focusing on scoring larger number kind of builds, the bosses instead encourage more variety/flexibility in your decks playstyle
Hence boss blinds that have win conditions that isnt "score number with a specific restriction"
Its "evil" because it punishes builds that're optimized for scoring only without utility
without finding any extra hands/discards, you can only get 35+7 cards from your deck
so you need to luck out on hanged men or incantation or pray for a voucher just to try to beat one boss

I think this should work, or at least be close? It bumps up the pitch about 20% and sounds similar, see if it's what you were hoping for.
If it's not right, just open up the .lua in notepad or something and mess with the pitch numbers until you find where you like it.

Hello all! I am having a bit of trouble installing the steammodded 1.0.0 modloader. I have the modloader unzipped inside of my 2nd save profile so i may save my vanilla 1 profile. I have the steammodded folder inside the "Mods" folder as the github installation instructions ask for. I load up into my 2nd profile and the mods button does not show. can someone help me with this?

So i just keep getting issues of course. I had to copy the zip into the executable file for Balatro, and noticed when the version.dll is in the game files, it will not start up from steam. If i start it from the executable, i am given an error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000906)" error.
I had to unzip the download zip file in the local game files since windows thinks its a bomb waiting to kill it

Almost every browser will flag it as a malicious file / virus, and the fact the version.dll gets about 50 detections on VirusTotal isn't helping.
Just make an exception in your anti-virus and you should be good to go.

the easiest way to reach high numbers is to try to seek for exponentia and primus, then lock either one of them and dupe them

Yo I've been getting a wierd crash when the game tries to load the payout screen after defeating ante 8 boss. Only occurrs with ante > pink from cryptid which effects ante scaling, and the crash report mentions trying to get ante scaling numbers, so I think its due to that, anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this is a good place to ask, but I was wondering if anyone has image files of the seals, steel, glass, gold, etc. as separate files. I found a sprite sheet, but was looking for separate images for a project I'm working on. For example, I'm looking to get the seals so I could overlay them on this joker

I'll take a deeper look at this, but I just took a quick look and it seems like a lot of coding stuff and not so much images. I'm not a modder, but I figured modders might have image files.
So looking at it, I'm guessing it's a script that splits sprite sheets?
there's a simple python script to turn the atlas (spritesheet) into individual images
you don't need to know any coding, just run the script on the file

i've made a mods folder in the local roaming then I add the unzipped Steammodded-main
So for a gift, I was going to print some balatro cards, but I was thinking of also getting the things like editions and seals printed as transparent plastic cards so they can be overlayed on the physical cards but not as permanent additions to the cards themselves. That way I don't need to print like 10 different versions of every playing card

That's actually sorta my idea. My partner recently got the Slay the Spire board game and I was thinking I might be able to make a workable physical version for Balatro.
If LocalThunk ever wanted easy cash, I think they could make physical balatro work relatively easily. I'm basically just stealing the card overlay idea from Mystic Vale

I thought about that, but the problem with that is that its hard to shuffle with the tokens on them. Plus you need a good way to make them stay in place. In game, seals are upgrades to the card, so I feel like the best way to have them stay with the card in the deck is to have them as an insert like in this game

And there's no texture for the foil and polychrome as those are glsl shaders

The idea would be to get plastic cards printed with the seals printed on them. For example, here’s some pics of my Mystic Vale cards.
This way, you can stack multiple upgrades on the same card! The whole card is transparent except for the seal

I should mention that the editions are shaders, not images
Holographic, Polychrome, Foil and Negative are all print qualities, not something you can see in an image

The problem when texture packs fine jokers is the molded jokers become inconsistent

Do you have version.dll from lovely in the range folder as the balatro program? Steam common or something, not appdata

I think it will break one of the abilities, Zircon.
Because I put in voucher mod and got things to load.
And yeah, Zircon gives a legendary voucher apparently.

If you really wish to play disregard voucher mod, delete

i have a bit of a dumb (and probably complex) proposal in regards to text boxes
crusader kings 3 has this tooltip feature where if you hover your mouse over a textbox for i think 3 seconds? long enough not to do it accidentally- it expands the textbox and shows all explanations for other tooltips and hyperlinks in the box
so maybe a feature where if the text is too large it cuts it off but hovering over it after a second or 2 it expands the textbox (drawing over the other sprites in the process)?
im not sure how much sense that makes

all the necessary files are included though, just follow the instructions and you should be set
