the real problem is that you have to recognize the tier list of deck structure, especially in terms of what will most consistently get you to ante 8

you just have to figure out what each joker wants you to do, and stack your playing cards to lean into that

Hey all, love the art mods you're showing off here. Can someone point me to where the Balatro image files are located? I came here from the Steam custom deck modding post and am interested in card mods. In my local game files though, I can't find the resources folder with the image assets. steamapps/common/balatro only has the .exe and dll files. Somehow in this post the creator's file path shows the balatro.exe as a directory which makes no sense to me either lol...

i do kinda also feel like alchemicals tend to be really underpowered but also i have the balancing mind of a drunk sloth so

or a planet that solves several rounds. or a tarot that you get the idea

i still think the philosphy of the cards is correct i just think more incentive and pay off are worth it aside from sparkly new card

Yes. The way to fix this is either make Alchemical cards and packs really cheap or give their scaling jokers more Mmmph!

ive spent a good chunk of my life designing custom magic stuff and various environments so i like it when things are tuned, not uniform, but tuned, where the overpowered stuff is fun and the underpowered stuff is cool

i had deluxe tarots for a while and it's just boring honestly it feels like you're just giving yourself a boost for no reason rather than making the game more interesting

personally i dont see the appeal of DX tarots if they're just cards that are just sometimes strictly better but thats just me

They're rare enough where they don't feel game breaking, but are very nice when they come up

deluxe tarots is a great way to make the game make you feel way better, but also there's like no downside to deluxe tarots
