balance issues come from when underpowered options drown out good ones or overpowered options do the same. and they don't, not really. the game is balanced quite well. if every card was like baron or showman or idol then balatro would be unplayable but they're not, they're just a handful of the jokers in the game. it's cool that they exist in the niche scenarios they work in, even if they're not gonna happen very often unless you force it at a lower difficulty.
