okay so think about it, when you play some other DB (i am too lazy to write deckbuilder), you start with a somewhat "reduced" deck, you add wayyyyyyyy more cards to it and "optimize" it for whatever build you're aiming for or whatever build the game happens to force upon you, balatro is different, the entire 52 card poker deck is available to you right from the start - and i get it, the game is fundamentally based around poker hands but the idea of taking 12-something cards and slowly "adding" to them is limited in balatro, like uhhhh idk maybe there should be a gamemode/mod where you start at a negative ante with only like 12 lower numbered cards in your deck and slowly deck fix according to your desired build? im aware of deckfixing but honestly, when do we even deckfix beyond lik nane-infing? the most you can deckfix on a normal, avg playtrhough is like around ~10 cards

rule of thumb is by ante 8 you're bringing in like $200 per round. have BP and BS. you only need a couple high card levels, baron mime is safe for ages with that. you have a red seal. you have antimatter, retcon and probably overstock by ante 18. copy your deck to about 65 red seal steels, a few other cards are ok, just if you're using rebate for $ or idol for survival, additional cards that aren't stones suck
