I disagree, respectfully. Playing pairs solves a number of issues. You don't need to spend nearly as much money on deck fixing, far more jokers are usable, and fewer bosses are detrimental. Plus it's a really clear easy strategy. Mult, chips, planets. I cede, it's not the most interesting, but it's a great beginner strategy. It removes a number of decision points.

Because you’re playing plasma deck, all those chips just stacks together. 101 chips and 101 mult is 10201 in plasma as is with any other deck. 200 chips and 2 mult is 400 in any other deck, and 10201 in plasma.
