It's not impossible to make it work, but it's pretty close. If Mail lands on a rank you have very little of, just win the blind fast and Grat + remaining hand momey will at least give you something. But most likely your discards will offer a LOT more value than Grat.

knife needs a spare joker slot, else super good and outscales every other option
erosion needs repeated hanged mans/immolate/some ohter joker like Trading Card/glass etc

supernova can be bought in later antes and still be good, good.

Ancient Joker can't repeat suits consecutively, so let me give you the run down of how you can avoid suit bosses by example:

You have AJ and you just went into the ante and the boss is The Club.
You know that AJ can't be clubs twice in a row, so you can go into the small blind safely, and if AJ is on clubs next then you go into the big blind so it cannot be clubs for the boss blind.
If AJ is not on clubs then you skip the big blind so it cannot be clubs for the boss blind.
