Pretty awesome run this was — I never do this but first two tags were rare & uncommon so I skipped them both and got eternal astronomer & duo. Grabbed the fibonacci shortly after that and was coasting with pairs but no scaling xmult jokers were coming until Obelisk, around ante 5. I’ve never been able to make it work but had a lot of hands upgraded so I went for it. Got it up to like 3x but had to play a pair to beat the Eye, so it reset. It scales fast if you’re disciplined, and I was able to copy a lot of Fibonacci cards. Now to face Cerulean Bell for the black stake (which I beat yesterday but it didn’t save due to a bug I guess).

Really fun part of this game is discovering jokers that you didn’t think were of much use.

I've never once won a round with obelisk and I don't see the huge appeal of it. The overwhelming majority of the time I have better already established jokers by the time it shows up, and even a round where I got it turn one didn't turn out.

I don't feel like the scaling it provides is worth entirely shifting to a new hand-type is worth it when you've likely poured all your planets and jokers into building around specific hands. I don't get it honestly.
