xmult pivots are extremely inconsistent in how they normally have to transition to get it going over just going full chips that ends in a stable position to be able to have joker slots or other room to bring in pivot tools

well that really depends where you are. if it's early then chips can help you get into a good late game postion by carrying the early game, but over time you wanna slowly ease out of your reliance on chip jokers by building up your base mult and getting good xmult going until you can ditch the chip jokers since xmult has much much higher scaling potential the later you go
