Oh, you rolled the perfect joker for the build you're running? Yeah you get that for 5 rounds and after that you can't play your build anymore. At that that point, it's too late for you to change your build and good luck rolling something else that works for your now dead build that doesn't scale anymore this late in the run. May as well reset for the 20th time.

Maybe give the player money or something of the like after the 5 rounds so it doesn't feel like an entire waste to get them. Sure you can still sell them after, but does selling DNA really feel good in any scenario? (The past 8 times I've rolled DNA in a run with perishable it has gotten it). .

I don't mind mechanics in games that limit your normal abilities, but to do it in a way that's just straight up "yep you can't use this thing you invested resources into anymore at all ever again just because" is just poor design.

I also don't think jokers should be able to roll BOTH perishable AND rental..
THAT is just straight up BM design.
