On average it takes 3.5 hands/discards to get a stright in your hand.

Yeah on average you get 1 Saturn per-ante. That’s with buying them as they show up in-shop and opening all $4 planet packs. (I would open the more expensive ones but that would set my money to 0 and result in a speedy death.)
