there's a build for every hand, in low stakes you can do whatever you want but the higher stake you go the less viable higher hands (straight and up) become due to blue stake's -1 discard

for gold stake, 2P specifically is eh, good 2P jokers like pants are uncommon, so you won't see them often until it's too late, and is generally outclassed by pair
