HTR is irrelevant, and even if it wasn't, the joker is not great (at best) on gold stake. shoot the moon is a much stronger joker. nobody ever turned tens into jacks to have jacks. in fact, if you really want to go the strength angle, kings are really good in that regard since you can remove their facecard attribute at any time in a pinch with a single strength, something queens and jacks can't do.
