this is also accounting for the 30% into the relatively higher % of hit rates to find 2 semi clean uncommons. a quicker dl activation is technically possible since zebra activated it within the first four rounds one time. the exception doesn't highlight the expectations of the joker performance on both ends of the rare conversation. econ jokers early on will enable a quicker initial dl activation in theory, but without econ and rentals existing in gs, you have to be more conservative early on which bbc can at least make better use of a worst case situation upon pickup now or later.

ante 3 on average is the first ante where you have the expenses to freely open arcanas given no econ jokers or long term stable scoring. dl will start at 0-4 as a leeway for ante 2 desperate pickups or devil pickups. with or without dl, it does nothing in its current state of the run via scoring. value gen can help albeit inconsistent and not the materials you shoehorn over.

however when you do get to the packs and notice that oh only 1/3 of the tarots are actually fueling dl (speculatively or not) and only 3 are worth even applicable without dl, you really are limited in options to take for the activation at a future ante.

this also doesn't take into account the existence of other tarots that will always take priority in general situations even with dl in hand. hermit/temp, always take. emperor, always take. hung man and suit fixers are almost equally valuable regardless if you're forcing a build or not.
