Hey yall, I need some help. Id say im kinda like an Advanced beginner at the game, but not very skilled tbh. Atm 99% of all my runs always rely on flushes. I can almost always make a flush set up work and most my runs, I try to force some kinda flush based build.

You're on the right track with Supernova as a beginner

Try out the other scaling jokers like green joker and spare trousers

Even though they're for weaker hands, they scale quickly

pairs are generally strong, they only require two cards to be played and this way you won't end up using less cards for your discards and hands. so you can find the cards you want more often! gold cards, purple seals, blue seals, gold seals, etc. these kind of value generators are pretty good to look for. that's why it's better to thin down your deck so you can draw them more often.
so... if you go for like flushes for example, you'd end up using discards and hands to find flushes and you'd play like two or at most three flushes each round without finding that many value generators. but you can play pairs for every hand cause they're that accessible. plus you have an easier time getting those value generators

Let's take a look at green joker

With 4 hands played each round, he gets +4 mult each round. Never discard, because that will reduce his mult. 4 mult doesn't seem like a lot, but it's huge for the early antes. After just one round, a pair is thrice as strong as it was. Just keep playing that way even if you're not getting money immediately. Although, you should look for at least one chip source, even something as simple as blue joker

four of a kinds are also very strong, try like using strength to get more cards of the same rank

an extra thing i'd like to add is that you can interchange stuff like discarding, getting money from extra hands and stuff like that if it's worth it. getting longterm value is important and surviving current ante is pretty enough i'd say. you can discard a few cards to find the cards you're looking for either value generators, joker scaling or just the poker hand and stuff like that

1. try to get above the interest cap while you're surviving early game, then try to be more generous with your money
2. it's good to have an idea of how much your next hand is going to score like if your last hand scored 18k with correct arrangement, and 8k with wrong arrangement if you're gonna use all of your hands for joker scaling or whatever
3. it's good to know how much scoring jokers are worth ig. getting 3 times as many chips is equal to getting 3 times as score and it's the same with mult. adding 20 mult to your 10 mult hand is basically tripling your score, but adding another 20 mult to your now 30 mult hand is not as much as effective. maybe in this state adding a chips source or an Xmult source could be the better option.
