@pale wolf ive been thinking about "success" with regard to balatro as like, what if winrate is more important than winstreaks;
the difference being that you say have a max winstreak of 8 on a particular deck, but you have a winrate of 7/8 on that deck.
if you were more bothered about winrate rather than winstreaks you would care more about the expected outcome / likelyhood of a particular event in a run appearing, like running into the plant, compared to the cost to prepare for that and the downside of actually hitting that particular event.
whereas if you're more bothered about winstreaks you would care more about preventing the worst case from happening completely, irrespective to the cost to prevent it from happening as much as possible, because given enough opportunity they will turn up and stop the winstreak if you did not account for them.
