There is technically a way to choose, but it requires a glitch called save scumming, where you aura the card, if it isn’t poly, menu and place it on another card, then rinse and repeat

if you want to play around with poly playing cards i recommend getting them from a pack since aura is rare (since its spectral) and rarely gives poly

You can avoid putting the bad edition on the card you want

You don't have to gamble

You still have to use up the aura to advance in the queue but you don't have to use it on the card you want to be polychrome or whatever
