assuming 4 hands per round and no skipping, hieroglyph means a total of 9 extra hands per scaling after subtracting a hand, and then you lose an amount of hands proportional to the amount of runs left, meaning that taking hieroglyph right before the ante 6 small blind results n the two effects cancelling out. take it after that, and you get more scaling. take it before, and you lose scaling
