yep, but that's the idea, is a roguelike, rogue likes at the first time feels hard as hell: Hades, Isaac, Brotato. The idea for what i see is that the first time to beat the "game" is hard but then with the time you realice how easy it was, so the game makes you go deeper (Skulls in hades, The final bosses in Isaac and the higher stakes in Balatro)

Start at the game: Hard but it show you the basics (Brotato with the normal enemys, Hades with the "vanilla" way, Isaac with the basic items and the low amount of floors in that moment and Balatro showing you the poker hands, planets, jokers and tarots)

medium game: easy as hell and basically you know what to do but you still have to do things (Hades with the missions, Isaac with the bosses and alt bosses, Balatro with the collection and low/medium stakes )

ending: hard and the game start looking like a strategy more than a "RNG" thing (Isaac with T.lost and hard characters, Balatro with the high stakes, Hades with the mega diffs)

We tell new players generally not to skip because they're not experienced enough at the game to properly weigh the opportunity cost of skipping vs playing a given blind

triboulet is undoubtedly a strong joker for endless mode---on-scored xmult in general scales much higher short term than the traditionally played +mult + xmult strategy, however both outside of endless and in endless mode itself triboulet does have flaws that will inevitably show themselves; outside of endless, many players would in their right mind choose yorick or canio over triboulet on gold stake runs and this is mainly due to how the way gold stake runs generally play out, being a natural evolution of the meta---triboulet (and in the same vein, baron/mime) have a ridiculously high ceiling in terms of score, but this ceiling does not matter much in context of gold stake where the required score is at maximum, 1.2m chips (2.4m on plasma specifically)
in that sense triboulet can be an afterthought in terms of scoring; it's its weaknesses that make it significantly more vulnerable and inconsistent than yorick and canio
I say vulnerable and inconsistent and not 'weak' because triboulet is not a weak joker, it is a strong joker but it is hampered by significant flaws that are not present with its peers, yorick and canio, because it is still an on-scored joker and is thus inherently vulnerable to boss blinds (pillar, the suit blinds, plant, and of course not being able to draw your hand on water/needle/mouth etc) as well as requiring deckfixing in order to play the hands required to necessitate it and economy in order to buy the planets for base mult as well as to buy tarots and potentially jokers for said deckfixing
the fact of the matter is triboulet is not going to be as consistent as yorick or canio in terms of its being able to provide scoring for winning a run on gold stake especially due to gold stake's faster scaling and lack of small blind reward money and more notably blue stake's -1 discard

but then we move onto endless mode itself where triboulet should theoretically shine and its ceiling is ridiculously high; many people do generally prefer perkeo and baron/mime however just because it is much easier to pilot and is easier to scale during the endless run itself
because how do you scale baron/mime? more barons, more mimes, more hand size dtc etc
The first two aren't too easy to get but the third is a consistent way to get naneinf whether through the serpent or via using cryptid
By contrast triboulet is much harder to scale mainly due to baron/mime being in-hand and triboulet being on-scored
you can have an effectively infinite amount of kings held in hand; even with just 1 baron and 1 mime you can theoretically get naneinf with just hand size alone; by contrast you can only ever play 5 cards---you can increase the scaling of the cards themselves via making them glass polychrome red seals but you cannot simply play more cards and in that sense the only way to make them stronger past that would be to get more triboulets (or idols) and more sock n buskins which is exceptionally difficult when you are limited by your joker slots
triboulet is a good joker; but it should be thought of as good in its specific niche---being the single best on-scored xmult joker in the game
it still falls victim to classic on-score weaknesses such as vulnerability and inconsistency which is what makes it less preferred to yorick or canio and it still has a ceiling with fundamentally harder ways to scale it than the dominant endless strategies of perkeo/cryptid, perkeo/observatory, or burglar/serpent
