Im just thinking balatros kinda interesting cause its literally a roguelike abstacted down to its fundamentals and given a vague poker vibe. Like normally in a roguelike your like achieving something in game like killing enemies or something like that but balatro your just overcoming a number by creating a bigger number which is created by multiplying 2 numbers together that dont mean anything. You then buy jokers which while technically related to a deck of cards are basically just things that give you higher numbers in various ways etc. Like theres no dressing it up as something else its literally just playing around with numbers
