in general your jokers will dictate what direction your build should go, but often it'll be easier hands like 2 pair or high card

but by that point you should have jokers and as srn said that is where it varies

if you have a joker that relies on a certain rank, suit, or poker hand, you want to revolve around that

if you are doing a general run or using independent jokers like hologram, constellation, green/blue joker, and red card, it is best you play two pairs, three of a kinds, pair, or high card especially after blue stake

my personal advice for poker hands/casual runs:

• ante 1 and 2 (before green stake) play strong hands to clear antes and save on interest and hands
• try to stick to scalable, reliable jokers in the long run (square, green, ride the bus, supernova, red card, constellation, hologram, obelisk)
• if you have strong jokers that rely on a poker hand, such as ancient joker, build your run around that with backups
• if you have independent (from suits, ranks, or hands) jokers, your best bet is to play two pairs down to high card as these are more reliable to play
• make sure you have good econ. an econ joker such as mail-in rebate or rocket, skip a shop to build up interest, consider what options you have and don't buy everything you can.
• retriggers and xmult jokers are your friend
• don't skip out on chips and base mult
• don't forget to upgrade your poker hands
• when making your build, do consider what its weakness could be: have a detour poker hand, glass cards, a xmult joker in general, buy a voucher, take advantage of a reroll tag
