two pair's a fine build if you wanna just get past the ante 8 boss and beat the game. it'll rely pretty heavily on things like planet cards and good jokers. (spare trousers are your friend)

flush builds might be better for a beginner, since they can be a little more reliable to build and they use 5-card hands. (a 5-card hand means you have an extra chance to play an enhanced card with extra chips/mult/other perks). but a lot of pros build around single pair hands. ultimately it's up to you

its boss blinds in the higher antes that i have to work on.

that ante seven build had a joker that gave me 30 chips for every discard i had left in that round and i had another joker that gave me an extra discard with the other 3 jokers serving to multiply my two pair play.

i know the joker that gave me the extra discard was a foil though

yeah i get that. once you get into later antes you might need some xmult joker - something like a hologram, blackboard, drivers' license, vampire, that sorta thing. that way, you can take something like your red card and multiply its power several times ! generally you can rely on planet cards and maybe a single joker for chips in the later game

nah being like "flush noob trap two pair mid" is actively unhelpful for someone who's learning the game. flush and 2p are fine if you wanna beat the game for the first time. pairs are objectively safer but only if you're good at the game already. sometimes you gotta let people learn
