the main benefit is the first four rounds pretty much
i've been making good use of arrowhead, burnt joker, blue seals, etc to make use of the flushes long term
flushes scale way better than pairs in terms of planet levels so ive been trying to play around that whenever reasonably possible

grimbo flush is also still pretty damn easy, and supernova flush is a given, really its ride the bus that doesnt mesh well with checkered flush

checkered has good benefit for flushes in the sense that it's open to more on card scoring or on card value benefits you usually wouldn't get like hiker or enhancements

jupiter is +2 mult and its the easiest hand you can make, also you only ever need 1 face card per hand, so you can do it every hand
with other hands like pair and up, you need 2 or more faces
so checkered flush photochad is pretty much always online for you
