Question. I've been playing Balatro for two weeks now, and have been greatly enjoying it, but I'm struggling greatly. My favorite deck by a wide margin is black deck, but after just beating orange stake yesterday morning, barely, I've run around 100 tries at black deck gold stake. Even though black deck is the only deck I have played barring four others I completed white stake in order to unlock challenges, I can't seem to beat it. I've watched a few tutorials that say they can win black deck gold stake around 30 to 40 percent of the time. And while I know there much better than me, I think I have to be doing something wrong. I've had four runs with legendary jokers, but the farthest I've gotten is the ante 5 boss. Can I get some assistance?

Black deck is also by far the most punishing one in every margin, with the last joker slot barely doing anything unless you're at ante 5 or 6, the most I can say is to first get fundamentals of consistency right because it's basically threading a needle to get used to the high scores needed while having a lot of the shop be downright unusable in hold stake

As an idea of just how much you lose per skip:
