That's true. But iirc the Perkeos started staking up pretty early, and this is already 8 in an unseeded run... I think that this has a shot and if you managed to scout a 9th perkeo + ectoplasm I feel like it should be able to offset not having enough from ante 1.

or you need to get about 11 planets per round to ante 39

what you get in balatro is determinative. mostly it depends on the seed + ante, there's many different card queues, like you can see from the blueprint site. in this case, tarot cards in packs come off a conveyer, you just need to see enough to get to the perkeo. b/c the soul is a separate roll, you can't block things in the pack to get a soul AFAIK

Thanks for the info - I'm exploring that now. One thing I can't figure out is where I got all the invisible jokers from. It just doesn't show up in the queues enough to explain how I got 5-6 of them. Perhaps I was rerolling the shop a ton?

Check out the Reddit thread and the Chicot/Manacle exploit.

Early bstorm and neg bprint and baron and mime, as well as neg perkeo and non-neg chicot. By ante 4. Uses invisible joker to try to get more chicot which on the manacle can actually give permanent hand size increase beyond the first chicot.

Also uses sixth sense to get cryptid which perkeo dupes many times, and eventually ectoplasm to increase joker space. So you need a bunch of sixes, and the red seal king in ante 4. Multiple more bstorm and bprint later on.

With this seed I ended up having 2 Yoricks on over X20, 2 Sock and Buskin, a Brainstorm and a negative Ancient Joker with a deck consisting almost only of Wild Face cards (with various seals on them). On the way there were a few mimes too but I didn't pick them up. Curious to see how far others can push this one :)

Edit: I got to Ante 14 and died to the goad, debuffing almost all of my deck :') Before that, I got really luck with the bosses though. Whenever a suit was debuffed, ancient joker buffs another. Also, I had splash for a majority of the run but sold it around ante 12

Switching over to this has allowed me much greater control over queue generation and lets me create add hoc functions as opposed to trying to bend the wasm to my will.

I figured out why you asked lol.

It was still wrong, and none of the immolate variants I could find documented how that queue was generated.
It uses most of the same logic as nextStandard card but it has its own queue for what card and what seal it gets, totally seperate from how normal stand cards are generated. this should be fix and pushed in the next couple of minutes its also not ante based

I've been working through them slowly and while I haven't taken screenshots of each occurrence, I've found Soul cards on probably 9 or 10 runs, at least one run had 2 souls. GG95EV73 another legendary seed discovered on the challenge deck. This has perkeo ante 3, there's quite a few interesting negatives hidden in the early antes and some cool cards hidden in wraiths. i played on ghost deck without looking at what the seed had and this was my first result

invisible, ankh, wheel, etc choose jokers by the order they're gotten. so if it hits the first joker in the list (not position on screen), selling that joker means it hits the next oldest. that's not a great explanation, but hopefully enough. if you need more drdreamo posted a vid and how to exploit it

maybe I was too hasty on the call that Alu's run is dead, missed the BP. so you get 40-50 cryptid, hopefully another scoring joker and it'll be fine

Hey, I am currently trying to figure out what the worst possible Card order is, that you can draw (without having any Jokers or Planets). I would guess 2,3,4,5,7,8,9,10,Q,K,2,3,... Each permutating through the four different suits would be pretty bad. But that was only by intuition, I am not really sure what a good way would be to figure out the truly worst (considering optimal play), since brute forcing a coding solution seems to be not feasible, considering the amount of possible combinations.

I was trying to figure this out to see if a Black Deck Gold Stake Seed would be possible in theory. Any combination of cards should allow you to beat Blind 1, since you should always be able to play at least 1 Flush and 1 Two Pair (at least that's what I think), bringing you over the 300 threshold. I am however not certain about the 450 threshold in Blind 2. So all that would be needed for an impossible seed would be no useful Jokers or Planets in Shop 1 and then that worst case arrangement of cards in Blind 2. I am doubtful such a seed exists, considering the finite number of seeds, however it still got me interested what the worst case card order actually is.

Does anyone here have an idea or an idea how to figure it out?

I've regained a bit of motivation to do this, but I wanted to make sure this hasn't been done by anyone else before, since when looking around I saw that MathisFun offhandedly mentioned something similar, but with LOVE's RNG (#🌱・seed-chat message). I don't get why you would want to find cycles in LOVE's RNG to loop emperor fool since iterating with the RNG is determined by creating the next pseudoseed (maybe this changed between versions? does someone know?), which does have cycles (for example, the 0.3211483013596 <-> 0.6882134081454 cycle I mentioned before). I don't really trust myself to make a seed searcher to find seeds where the pseudoseed function lands in this cycle (or any other cycle) since I think my last attempt where I wrote a searcher to find seeds in which instantly cycle in joker rarity I might have had a bug which would have prevented it from finding these seeds.

hmmmm, it seems like my lucky cards suspiciously aren't hitting money on this seed even with this setup... I think it worked!

the numbers math.random() lands on for this seed with lucky cards are 0.59548066636931 and 0.59936471645528 which gives 8.93220999554/15 & 8.99047074683/15 being the probabilities required to give money, so even if you have 3 dice, you won't be getting money (8/15) and with 4 dice you are guaranteed anyways (16/15)
