I was able to get like two blueprints and three brainstorms (plus some negative jokers that don't really matter)

I stalled out at e86 but I never got past e24 because I stupidly took that one spectral card that reduces my hand size in exchange for a negative tag on one of my jokers

Brought me down to 4 hand size (thought I would go down to 6 or something) but I forgot the hand size goes up for every copy of that spectral card you use

At that point I was only hitting e70s

it's close enough to the best trib/idol can do. I'd just take it as you beat the game at that point 🙂

another joker slot plus 3 steel in hand plus say hand level 100...it doesn't score too much more than that. add another joker slot, maybe e120. getting score from played cards is just much more demanding and lower ceiling than in hand cards

this run had a lot of potential but after HUNDREDS of shop rerolls i couldnt find anything to duplicate or make / increase hand of kings even though i had the essentially perfect build, i duplicated lots of strength and silver card upgrades. at the very end after i had practically given up i finally found a hanged man but it was too late. it was unseeded and unmodded :)

Managed a pretty solid run using Golden Mask and Vampire but I died on Ante 11 cause I couldn't find an idol or something similar to boost my score

I had a deck composed entirely of king of clubs by the end but wasn't able to amount to a huge tipping point sadly

Would've loved a Triboulet or an Idol but alas

I did also get an invisible joker which I used to duplicate blueprint

I also was carrying a sock and Buskin for like 80% of the run which did absolutely nothing bc I was hoping desperately for that Idol or Trib

statistics isn't usually that bad, just writing down your conditions with math. usually you want to calc the thing not happening because of how fractions work

but its understandable with 1 problem

Yeah. I passed it over because I got too focused on Hiker and Vagabond earlier in the run. Hiker was actually quite fun. If the goal is only beating the stake, I actually recommend it because the chip scaling on your score card stays busted for several antes. In the long run, it's not good. Converting from Flushes to Plutonium Reactor is the goal. But I rarely get fun use out of Hiker and +90 stone was neato. I also sacrificed too much hand-size on Ectos.

there's also a troll negative tag in one of the later antes which negatives the +3 for diamonds joker. Plus, in retrospect I probably want to build a diamond or heart deck rather than spades. I used Arrowhead for a few blinds before the full reactor was online, but if I had to pick the legendary rock then Bloodstone or the Diamond one are probably better long-term.

R_Erratic is one of the strings the game uses to hash before putting it into LUARandom as far as I semi-understand it, and certain numbers "line up" in a way that it always gives the "same answer" 🤷🏻‍♂️

Basically it happens when the seed hash is NaN, which happens because when calculating the seed hash, the algorithm is basically a bunch of multiplications and divisions. Because of a floating point rounding error, the algorithm ends up dividing by zero, leading to the rest of the calculations giving NaN. Once the seed hash is NaN, each time the prng is iterated it stays as NaN causing the prng to output the same value over and over. That is why all the erratic deck seeds are the same (10 of spades) because that just happens to be the card corresponding to the random value outputted when the lua random seed is NaN

this is the second time I've gotten a cracked seed although this is in base stake plasma, it was pretty fun, early holographic canio and and negative hanging Chad made it smooth sail to go through antes, got DNA and copcopied multiple glass Jack got blueprint in maybe 7 or 8 ante brainstorm rather late maybe in 11th. Overall if you are a good player maybe you an go past 20 antes without much trouble.

I usually play it on plasma, so don't have to worry about score from jokers until like ante 10, and that's plenty of time to find baron. mime can help score or not, it's good to have for $.
neg perkeo is always nice, but seems asking a lot. chicot handsize + baron keeps up with score reqs for a long time, more than enough to find anything else you want

I feel like we can all feel really lucky with our runs sometimes, but oh boy do I need to share this one. The craziest luck I’ve ever gotten. It was genuinely the most fun and rewarding I’ve felt from a run in quite a while. I realized like way too late I wasn’t using the blueprint on the perkeo which wasn’t ideal. I did use it for like every other joker but I fumbled. I wanted to try and get to the telescope second stage so I could’ve gotten the 1.5x mult whichever hand the planets applied for, and I was going for Pluto. Got high card to like lvl 71 or something.

what I really want is more than 3 chicot (which is plenty, but...). so vouchers: overstock and retcon before 8. neg chicot pretty early, ankh there would be great too. an invisible joker every few antes. so 1 in the first x cards of ante 2+3, 4+5, etc...whatever you think works. nothing nuts like neg perkeo + neg chicot 🙂

so maybe 1 in (10 (vouchers) * 10k (neg chicot) * 4^4 (invisible))? maybe 1/10M seed...a couple probably exist

Weird thing, at least to me since im not sure how seeds work. If you take the skip tag in the beginning you get the negative perkeo. Not taking it will give you the negative perkeo in a mega arcana pack. Taking the skip tag on ante 1 allows you to get the trib in ante 2.

I lost cause of balatro luck, didn't draw good enough cards. A trib on stake 2, a blueprint on first shop of stake 3 and a sock and buskin if you reroll a bit on ante 3. But if you want to survive the plant you'll need luchador on ante 3 shop

late perkeo is ok, should be fine, I just like earlier for the deckbuilding. 6th sense is really good this seed: ante 3 immolate then cryptid, ante 5 ecto first card, ante 7 cryptid, ante 8 ecto again. if ante 8 boss rerolls into heart, there's a bean right there, but baron isn't in the first 100 cards of the next 4 antes. no overstock or obvious voucher tags...if not for that it'd be a fine seed (overstock makes such a difference).
there's also a natural negative stone joker ante 9 you could try to reroll into something else, never know, it could be mime 🙂

i don't think it's possible to emperor fool loop without perkeo copying either.
Assume ideal conditions:

• arcana skip into (optional perkeo) emperor->fool (finite) loop for enough money
• voucher skip
• play boss blind
• shop 1:
  • crystal ball + overstock (3 consumable slots, 3 arcanas in shop)
  • jumbo arcana pack (5 tarots)

max possible number of tarot cards blocked in a round 1 shop is 3+3+5=11, number of tarots is 22 and we need to block 19 of them. not to mention we need to keep 2 consumable slots open for emperor.

perkeo needs to copy at minimum 10 cards.

with 3 consumable slots max, you can copy at most 3 tarots per round. 4 rounds minimum to copy 10 to 12.

150 deep in ante 14. out of first 200 shop cards...there's a bunch in ante 7 then dry spell. other card sources, it's not early enough in the list to matter. that's only about $3k in rerolling, so it's not that bad to get.

if you have about $1200 in ante 8 you can land the negative skip tag on a baron, or brainstorm I think, but roll over to ante 9 for negative Luchador so The Plant doesn't kill you 😉
