but how do you get so many, when you ankh a negative doesnt it make a normal?

you copy ankh+ecto. can get about 200 each late game, but that doesn't open up too many combos (you lose next round b/c no handsize, no way around that)

anything you can get 10x or a combo that you can get to 20x is doable (can't do with yorick/canio/trib though). idol + repeater does score enough if you can get enough handsize to tank 9 ecto (2 bean glitches)

so vamp or constellation could work, but they'd be awful to actually play

chat, im here to share my findings. i was playing with my balatro, like usual, when i ran into a seed that got me 4 legendary jokers, barron and mime. it was a little late into the run and i suck so my highest hand was 1.314e22. the seed was ESPGGK21. ik the first legendary was in a shop where there were two spectrial packs so look out for that and then buy every arcana pack in future shops

I didnt grab the chad tho because I felt like needing golden joker more since photograph isnt guranteed

lame probably isn't the right word. pretty much any seed can get ePrettyBigNumber if you get good econ and vouchers (only so many ways to do that, so you need to see a lot of shop queue). any perkeo seed will eventually be naninf/a39, just the amount of work you have to do to get there

Of those seeds, the most GOATed are KI2852 and 19HUWD9. 19HUWD9 has more natural negative jokers than any other seed i've personally played, and a lot of them contribute to the perkeo/mime/baron strat

Going to try to finish 1-2 playthroughs and then make a seeds thread, taking forever because it's strong

Does anyone know how the card that ouija picks is determined? Is it tied to the ante, the round, the seed? Like will the first ouija always be a 4 on a given seed, no matter what ante you are in, or will it change each ante/round?

Don't have the code in front of me but most things are based on a pseudorandom string based off the seed, so a string likely gets generated with "<seed>ouija" this would get stored then a new value generated each time. (New values are essentially a seed of a seed)

Yep just checked its exactly as I mentioned, it's a random over the card types (2-A) using the combined pseudoseed with "ouija<initial seed>" so on a seed it will be the same for the order

if you're just trying to get to 8, maybe try one of the seeds with a triboulet, very strong early/mid game but falls off late, if youre not doing seeded runs there are a lot of really basic strats that will get you to 8, maybe try playing the challenges first, a lot of them highlight synergies between jokers you might not realize at first

I am tweaking my anaglyph filter and my build scripts right now

the anaglyph logic is neat, so my filter tries keeping count of double tags + negative tags and then searching along a first skip tag == negative tag type ante for a run of your desired jokers

but you can just plug in whatever u want in the UI and hit go and it doesnt have to re-build 😄

that's not how it works, but you can create a new profile, and go into it and unlock all

otherwise, unseeded runs only way to unlock anything

I chatted with Copilot which determined it would be possible, but massively complex, and likely not as fast as what we have right now. 🤷‍♂️

Definitely more complex then brute forcing but that makes it more fun, it is likely an NP-complete problem to solve but afaik the therom solvers have quiet a few tricks depending on the constraints

erratic rank checking is incredibly fast compared to checking different random nodes for tags/vouchers/shops/packs but I don't really know anything about Z3 theorem prover

How does it work?

It uses (my modified version of) Immolate, a balatro brute force search tool that uses GPU to search

So I made a python UI with tkinter & pandas datatable.

When it finds Balatro seeds that match your customized filter, it saves to a local database so you never lose your work 🙂 Then the table you can sort by columns, export to excel or whatever.

Yes you can add your own openCL filters but generally probably won't need to, just use the python interface to make a filter (JSON file) and run it in the UI, or you can run in CLI after the json filter is made :D"

The UI streams all the results to DuckDB so if you accidfentally shut it off or crash your PC or whatevr you never lose ur seeds ❤️

Yeah, looking up a vector in C++ is O(n). While looking up a Bitmap is O(1)

You give a fixed bit in a struct for each lockable object, then you can lookup directly at that index instead of scanning the whole vector of string
